I have a Japanese import and have been struggling to find an after market bolt on replacement. I took a new starter that didn’t fit plus the old one to austin and they fit the new bits into the old hosing to make me a starter that fit and worked. I wish I had started by contacting them as it would have just need cheaper to have him rebuild it from the start. Live and learn! Do business with these folks with confidence. 10/10 - highly recommended.

I dropped into Classic Starter and Alternator while working in the Garland area. I had a Cummins alternator that I tried to convert to “one wire”. The owner, Austin, was able to find the problem with my online parts quickly. He replaced the bad part and bench tested the alternator for a VERY REASONABLE price. The shop is clean, well organized, and it gives customers confidence in the business. If I ever have an issue with another starter or alternator, I will certainly return to Classic.

Fantastic experience! Dropped off my oily dead Honda oem alternator with a broken plug to boot. They had it clean, fixed and ready in less than 2 hours at a great price! It wasn't much more than the cheap Chinese garbage online... and MUCH lower than new or even a remanufactured Denso. I'm thrilled. Put it in today... running great! Nice to keep my OEM alternator and have it running like new. Thanks! Just awesome. I'll be back again for other alternators!

I had a great experience with Classic Starter & Alternator in Dallas. I brought in the alternator from my 2010 Lexus RX350, and they rebuilt it quickly and professionally. The quality of their work was excellent—it’s running like new again. What really stood out was their honesty and fair pricing. It’s not always easy to find a shop you can trust, but Austin did deliver both great service and value. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made the whole process smooth. Highly recommend them if you need alternator or starter work done

Went in to this place get my starter rebuilt only as a second choice, my first choice had always been South Dallas Battery and Electric in downtown Dallas. Turns out it shut down while back. So I show up here and the owner used to work at South Dallas Battery! Super nice guy named Austin. I must have visited with the young man for 30 minutes reminiscing about Les and his son Les at SDB&E. Austin bought out the old shop and moved it to Garland. This little hole in the wall shop really took care of me. Rebuilt starters for my old truck start over $250 and a new one goes closer to $350, mine was rebuilt for a little over $100! My new starter looks like new and works like new. Actually, except for the housing, everything is new.
